Event Details

Douglas Crockford is Yahoo!'s JavaScript architect and a member of the committee designing future versions of the world's most popular programming language.  In the first three months of 2010, Douglas will be delivering his acclaimed series of lectures on the history of JavaScript, its features, and its use.  These public lectures will take place on Yahoo!'s main campus in Sunnyvale, California; attendance is free, but seating is limited.

Tonight's session delves into functions and inheritance in JavaScript, exploring some of the features that set JavaScript apart -- and make it powerful.

  • 5:30 p.m. Doors open
  • 5:30-6 p.m. Pizza and beverages
  • 6 p.m. Lecture begins (approximate running time: 2 hrs.)
